John Maffucci had a certificate from the East Coast Timing Association certifying that his 1955 Ford F100 had established a new land speed record of 144.12 mph in March of 2007, making it the “World’s Fastest F100”. It did so thanks to a 5.0 liter, 32 valve “cammer” engine with an Accufab 100mm throttle body, custom carbon fiber air intake, Bassani headers, and a 6-speed Tremac transmission with a Hurst shifter putting out 510hp at the rear wheels. Other items include a Heidts Mustang II front suspension, 4-wheel ‘03 Cobra disc brakes, Pro shocks, and Eibach springs. The Tungsten (charcoal gray) colored paint looks great with the modern style rims, and the interior is done up in Lipstick Red leather. Proving it can also handle well, it was an Auto Cross winner at a Goodguys event in Nashville, too.
