The famous Cadillac Ranch is located along Route 66 in Amarillo, Texas, and is certainly a cult phenomenon. It consists of ten Caddy’s from 1949 thru 1963 buried nose first in the ground. It was built in 1974, brainchild of The Ant Farm, a San Francisco art collective, and Stanley Marsh 3, a helium tycoon who owns the wheat field where it is located. Due to development it was moved two miles west in 1997.
