"Beatnik" is the name of this extremely modified beauty, which started life as a '55 Ford before it became the world's largest bubble top kustom, and we caught up with it at the Spring Daytona Beach Car Show & Swap Meet in 2006. It features a hand made all metal body with Cadillac front and rear ends cut and formed to fit the body, a '59 Caddy front bumper, '60 Lincoln headlights, '60 Chrysler taillights, and a '58 Caddy front bumper fitted to the rear of the car incorporating custom exhaust tips. The low stance when parked is achieved with hydraulic suspension, and the bubble top opens via electric screws and rises over 5 feet for easy entry. Inside you'll find a custom pearl white interior with lots of wild touches, and a DVD system to entertain. Power comes via a small block Chevy with 6 Stromberg two barrel carbs, and a serpentine drive system. Gary "Chop-It" Fioto is responsible for building this beauty, and recently relocated from New York to New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
