This one did not make the next round. This shot shows Dave Uyehara doing the slide for life in what is left of his Top Fuel Dragster at the finish line of the old Las Vegas Speedrome drag strip in 1972. Now days Dave builds many winning dragsters that run at the major NHRA races around the country. Note the bouncing drag slick in the left side of the photo, it just missed our photographer Steve Reyes as this was not shot with a long lens!! Ah, the "good old days"!!
