The seldom seen “sidewinder” car was later stacked up in a crash the same day at OCIR. This car is significant in drag racing history though. It later became the first AA/Funny Car ride for a young, determined truck driver from California. His name is John Force, now the winningest driver in NHRA drag racing history.
