In this speed blur shot Jim Dunn is shown doing a burnout at Irwindale Raceway during Southern California Funny Car action in 1972. This car sported three different paint jobs that season. Dunn closed out the 1972 NHRA campaign with a win at the Supernationals, still the only NHRA national event win ever by a Rear Engine Funny Car. Jim Dunn is still active in nitro Funny Car racing today as a car owner and tuner on the NHRA PowerAde tour.
