Here is a “blast from the past”, Ray Alley driving the unique Engine Masters “Big Al” circa 1965. Note the driver’s head sticking through the radically chopped top. This Allison aircraft engine powered monster now resides in Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing in Ocala, Florida. This was a “Funny Car” before there was really a “Funny Car” class in drag racing.
