The late Marvin Schwartz was a very competitive independent Top Fuel campaigner in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Schwartz was from Largo, Florida, and was a tennis instructor. He formerly drove for “Big Daddy” Don Garlits in the 1960’s before striking out on his own. Schwartz passed away after a high speed crash at Beeline Dragway in Scottsdale, Arizona at an AHRA event.
