As the 1970's progressed, many AA/Fuel Alterds began to show influences of Funny Car design. Here is Southern California star Dennis Giesler doing a burnout with his "Instant T" at Orange County International Raceway in the early 1970's. Note that the car is longer and lower than earlier AA/FA's, and it runs larger front wheels and tires like the Funny Cars of the era did.
