Frank and Del Dreano of Oakland, Florida have owned this 1961 Corvette since 2007, and brought it to Old Town’s 19th Anniversary Saturday Nite Cruise on June 6th, 2009. There were 10,939 Corvettes built in ‘61, with an average price of $3,934. The Dreano’s is painted Honduras Maroon with Ermine White side coves, has a solid lifter 283 V-8 with 270hp thanks to dual Carter 4-barrel carbs, and a Borg-Warner close ratio 4-speed. The display sign also indicated the car is not a “trailer queen”, and is driven 2 or 3 times a week.
