The first thing everyone noticed about this 1955 Corvette was the tinted plexiglass "bubble top", which was made by Model Builders of Chicago, Illinois in ‘54, and sold for a whopping $3,000. George Coniglino owns the car, which is #283 of 700 produced that year, and 1 of 15 painted "Corvette Copper". It was the first year for the 265 V-8, producing 195hp, and George’s ‘Vette has won many Top Flight awards as well as the Duntov Mark of Excellence. Photo by Mike Key
