3rd Annual Apopka Assembly Car & Bike Show • March 1st, 2008

Saturday, March 1st, 2008 was the date for the 3rd Annual Classic Car & Bike Show at the Apopka Assembly of God church located at 951 North Park Avenue in Apopka, Florida. As it turned out that was a perfect day for a car show, with temperatures around 75 degrees, and low humidity combining for beautiful weather that makes us realize how nice it can be to live in Florida. Registration ran from 8:00am to 12:00 noon, and saw approximately 120 beautiful cars and trucks in attendance, as well as 12 cool motorcycles. There was certainly an abundance of eye candy to keep auto enthusiasts satisfied.

Dash plaques and gift bags were given to the first 100 registered, lots of door prizes were distributed (including twelve $100 cash prizes), and a special gift basket was given to a lucky lady car owner. There was plenty of good food and beverages available for purchase, and fun things for the kids, ensuring that the whole family would enjoy the laid-back day.....which is exactly what the Apopka Assembly wanted to do - bring families and friends together for a good time.

At around 3:00pm the 100 awards were given out, including several Best Ofs and class winners (see the results on the next page). All proceeds went to Youth and Children’s Ministries, so the good times had by all also helped support a worth while cause.

With another successful show in the books, look for the upcoming 4th Annual Apopka Assembly Car & Bike Show during 2009 by keeping an eye on the Coming Attractions section of Mike Kelly’s Cruise News as the event draws closer.
